I bought this particular bed rail because it is higher than most others. Our mattress is ten inches thick and most other rails would be only a few inches higher than the mattress. The bed rail is very sturdy and doesn't move a bit. It provides need support in sitting and standing. Delivery was prompt and assembly was easy.
I bought this for my father after back surgery. He is a big man , 6feet 3 inches and about 235 lb, and this rail is completely stable!
