This hammer is well built. It is completely black. My only complaint is that it is very smelly. (strong chemical odor from paint covering)
Do not buy it is very cheap rubber and has no weight behind it. The handle edges are sharp and it is uncomfortable to hold.
The metal is a cheap alloy. There are ok Chinese products and even more cheap or dangerous Chinese products. This is the latter.
I just threw mine away it wasn't worth the time to send back.
Learn from my lesson just spend a few extra dollars and get something better.
